As 2025 draws to a close, I’d like to take a moment to reflect on the year that’s been and to share a few important updates as we head into the Christmas and New Year period.
It’s fair to say this year has brought its share of challenges for many property owners and tenants across Tāmaki Makaurau. Economic pressures, rising living costs, and ongoing shifts in the rental market have meant we’ve all needed to adapt, often quickly.
Through this, I’ve greatly appreciated your patience, communication, and trust. It’s these strong relationships that allow us to navigate uncertain periods with confidence.
Despite the tough stretches, recent months have shown encouraging signs. We’re starting to see a more balanced rental environment emerging, with improved tenant stability and steady demand returning in key suburbs. While we aren’t completely out of the woods, the trend is promising, and I’m optimistic that 2026 will bring more consistency and opportunities for both owners and renters alike.
As we enter the holiday season, I want to reassure you that support remains available. Our office will continue to be covered throughout the Christmas and New Year period.
